East Valley Water District received its eighth consecutive Inland News Group Top Workplace Award on January 29, 2023, in recognition of its commitment to creating a workplace that promotes professional development, community involvement, and leadership. The recognition is awarded based on an anonymous employee survey with questions on topics such as management, work environment, organizational vision, career satisfaction, and social responsibility.
"East Valley Water District operates by strong values centered around providing innovative leadership to enhance and preserve the quality of life for our community," said Michael Moore, P.E., General Manager/CEO. "At the forefront of this effort are employees who are actively involved in contributing to the District's goals and initiatives." As part of the District's ongoing Strategic Plan, employees are encouraged to engage with leadership and provide recommendations to better enhance the service offerings.
The Top Workplace Award survey is administered by a third party and is designed to measure drivers that are critical to the success of any organization. Award categories are broken up into three classifications, large employer, a mid-size, and small employer with East Valley Water District earning the award for small employers.
"The District is honored to have been recognized with this notable award," commented Board Chairman Phillip R. Goodrich. "Gathering feedback from employees allows us to make organizational improvements to better serve our community."
