The Board of Directors has named Michael R. Moore, P.E. as the General Manager/CEO of East Valley Water District. Through a competitive recruitment process, Mr. Moore was selected to lead the District and continue fulfilling the vision of enhancing and preserving the quality of life for the community. Moore is joining East Valley Water District from the City of Anaheim Water & Power, where he served as Assistant General Manager for eight years.
"East Valley Water District strives to provide world-class service for the community and Michael Moore's breadth of leadership experience will allow the District to continue fulfilling this mission," said Board Chairman Phillip Goodrich. "Mr. Moore has a unique combination of industry experience, leadership skills, and has demonstrated a track record of success, making him the strongest fit for the District."
Michael Moore has worked in the water industry for 30 years, built an award-winning water utility and has a combination of private and public sector experience. "I am excited to join East Valley Water District and utilize my experience in water resources strategic planning to continue crafting a vision of innovative leadership and world-class customer service. I look forward to partnering with the Board of Directors, District staff, the community, and regional partners to enhance the commendable legacy of leadership and innovation."
Moore will lead the District's 76 employees providing water and wastewater service to over 104,000 people.
