East Valley Water District Participates in the Seventh Annual National Imagine A Day Without Water

East Valley Water District provides reliable water service to over 103,000 residents every day, with extensive operational effort typically unseen by community members. The District is participating in a national educational campaign, Imagine a Day Without Water, asking the community to think about how their life would be impacted without a reliable water source. A day without water means you can't make a morning cup of coffee, fill up a water bowl for your furry friend, or cook a meal with loved ones.

The Board of Directors adopted Resolution 2021.18 recognizing the District's participation in the national Imagine a Day Without Water. "East Valley Water District takes steps daily to ensure the community continues to have access to clean and reliable drinking water and works to be a steward of this resource," said Board Chairman David Smith. "Water infrastructure investments, performing regular system maintenance, and repairing leaks help ensure reliable water service."

The District supports the community's efforts to use water efficiently by offering extensive rebate programs to help customers replace inefficient fixtures with high-efficiency models. Free resources are available to residents looking for ways to conserve water outdoors.

"Imagine a Day Without Water is a great opportunity to reflect on the vital role that water has in our lives and the importance of making investments to ensure the availability of this resource for generations to come," said John Mura, General Manager/ CEO. "We invite the community to join our commitment to stewardship by observing this day and learning more about opportunities to save water."
