East Valley Water District received the Inland News Group Top Workplace Award on January 30, 2022, in recognition of its people-centered organization. The award showcases the District's efforts to maintain a positive work environment, fulfilling East Valley Water District's vision to serve the community, even throughout the global pandemic. This recognition is the District's seventh year receiving the award as leadership continues to focus on building a positive organization focused on employee development and retention.
"East Valley Water District embraced a world-class standard of service towards our community; we know a positive workforce will further the District's mission and create a place where people want to work," said Board Chairman Phillip R. Goodrich. "Receiving the award, for the seventh time, showcases leadership's desire to not only recruit top candidates, but develop employees and promote active dialog throughout the organization." The District has taken steps to create a supportive environment that encourages employees to better serve the community through professional growth, development, and training.
The Top Workplace award is based upon anonymous employee feedback on topics such as management, work environment, job satisfaction and social responsibility. For award evaluation, the District received 100% employee participation on the voluntary employee engagement survey.
