Financial Reporting Awards

The District participates in the following award programs established by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

Award & Report Types

The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award is presented to governmental units who publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and as a communications device.

The District received the award since FY 2013-14 and each subsequent year through FY 2023-24.

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) encourages state and local governments to prepare comprehensive reports that go beyond the minimum requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The District was recognized with this award in FY 2011-12 and has continued to receive it every year through FY 2022-23.

The Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) Award encourages state and local governments to extract information from the ACFR to provide easily understandable reports for the general public.

The District was recognized with this award in FY 2016-17 and has continued to receive it every year through FY 2022-23.

The California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) Excellence Award for Budgeting was awarded to the District.

The District was recognized with this award in FY 2017-18 and has continued to receive it every year through FY 2023-24.

The California Municipal Treasurers Association’s Investment Policy Certification Program provides professional guidance and assistance in developing and/or improving existing investment policies in California’s public sector agencies and districts.

The District was recognized with this award in FY 2015-16 and FY 2016-17.
